How to get to the Columbus Pride march and festival

It is recommended that marchers park near the rally site at Bicentennial Park, and walk or carpool back to the Goodale Park stepoff. Parking is plentiful near the park downtown, with several surface lots and the Lazarus department store's garage, but the neighborhood around Goodale Park has only on-street parking.

From the north via I-71

To the rally and Gayfest: Get off I-71 at the Main Street exit (exit 108A, marked Downtown, German Village). Follow the "Downtown" signs forward, onto Rich St. Follow Rich St. through downtown to its end at Bicentennial Park. Parking can be found in one of the lots in the area, or in the Lazarus garage on Front St.

(From the northwest via U.S. 23 or 33: Take I-270, the Columbus outer belt, east to I-71, then take I-71 south into town.)

To the march stepoff: Follow I-71 into downtown Columbus and get off at I-670 West. Follow I-670 and exit onto Goodale

Blvd. Turn right onto the first street, Neal Avenue, go two blocks and turn right again onto Buttles Avenue. After one block, Buttles Avenue borders Goodale Park.

From the east via 1-70

To the rally and Gayfest: In downtown Columbus, get off I-70 at the Fourth Street exit (Exit 101A). Turn right, and follow Fourth Street north to Rich Street. Turn left, and follow Rich to the park as described in "From the North" above.

To the march stepoff: Get off I-70 onto 1-71 North (marked Cleveland). Immediately merge to the far left lane and follow the signs for 1-670 West. Then follow directions to Goodale Park as described above.

From the south via l-71

To the rally and Gayfest: In downtown, get off I-71 at the Front Street-High Street exit (Exit 100). Turn left onto Front Street and go approximately five blocks north to Bicentennial Park, on the left at Rich Street. See parking under "From the north" above.

To the march stepoff: Follow I-71 North through downtown, as it joins I-70 East and then leaves it. After you get off I70/71 back onto 1-71 North (marked Cleveland), immediately merge to the far left lane and follow the signs for I-670 West. Take I-670 west to Goodale Blvd, then follow directions under "From the North" above.

From the west via 1-70

To the rally and Gayfest: Get off I-70 at Front Street, and follow directions un-

der "From the south" above.

To the march stepoff: Exit I-70 onto I71 North. Follow directions from the south as noted above.
